Cholestie Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Cholestie mobile application and related services operated by ECBC Technologies LLC ("Cholestie," "we," "us," or "our").

By using Cholestie, you agree to these Terms.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Cholestie.

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of Cholestie is permitted under the laws applicable to you.

Cholestie Is a Wellness Tool

Cholestie provides tools for tracking meals, estimated nutritional information, cholesterol lab results, and related wellness information.

Cholestie is not a healthcare provider and does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, or individualized medical advice.

Nothing in Cholestie should replace advice from a physician, registered dietitian, pharmacist, or other qualified healthcare professional.

Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining access to the email address associated with your Cholestie account.

You agree to provide accurate information when using Cholestie and not to impersonate another person or access another person's account.

You are responsible for activity performed through your account.

Your Health and Meal Information

You decide what information to enter into Cholestie.

You retain ownership of the meal descriptions, meal photos, lab information, feedback, and other content you provide.

You give Cholestie a limited permission to process, store, transmit, resize, analyze, and display that content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, and improve the Cholestie service.

AI-Generated Information

Some Cholestie features use artificial intelligence.

AI-generated meal identification, nutrient values, ingredient assumptions, clarification questions, and educational insights may be inaccurate or incomplete.

Meal photos may not reveal cooking oils, sauces, ingredients, serving sizes, preparation methods, or other information needed for an accurate nutritional calculation.

You should independently verify information when accuracy is important.

Cholesterol and Lab Tracking

Cholestie may allow you to record and compare cholesterol results over time.

Changes shown between lab results are descriptive only. Cholestie does not determine that a particular food, behavior, supplement, medication, or other factor caused a change in your laboratory values.

Do not make medication or treatment decisions based solely on Cholestie.

Acceptable Use

You may use Cholestie only for lawful personal purposes.

You may not attempt to:

• access another user's account or private information;
• bypass AI usage limits or other security controls;
• interfere with or disrupt Cholestie infrastructure;
• reverse engineer or abuse the service except where applicable law expressly permits it;
• use automated systems to generate unreasonable service traffic;
• upload unlawful or malicious content; or
• use Cholestie in a way that violates applicable law or the rights of another person.

Intellectual Property

Cholestie, including its software, brand, logo, interface, designs, text, and other materials created by us, is owned by or licensed to ECBC Technologies LLC and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

These Terms give you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Cholestie for personal purposes.

Third-Party Services

Cholestie relies on third-party technology and infrastructure, including cloud hosting, authentication, email delivery, storage, and artificial-intelligence services.

Those services may occasionally experience interruptions, delays, or errors outside our control.

Availability and Changes

We may add, modify, limit, suspend, or discontinue features as Cholestie develops.

Especially during early access or beta periods, features, limits, AI models, nutrition estimates, pricing, and functionality may change.

We do not guarantee that Cholestie will always be available or error-free.

Account Termination and Deletion

You may stop using Cholestie at any time.

You may delete your account through: Settings > Delete Account.

We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary to protect users, security, the service, or comply with law.

Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cholestie is provided "as is" and "as available."

We do not warrant that Cholestie will be uninterrupted, error-free, medically accurate, nutritionally exact, or suitable for any particular medical purpose.

AI and nutritional estimates are inherently uncertain.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so portions of this section may not apply to you.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ECBC Technologies LLC and its officers, employees, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use Cholestie.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Privacy

Your use of Cholestie is also governed by the Cholestie Privacy Policy.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as Cholestie evolves.

If a change is material, we may notify you through the app, website, email, or another appropriate method.

Continued use of Cholestie after updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms where permitted by law.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws in your jurisdiction require otherwise.
